The presentation will focus on traditional and original approaches to classifying false cognates, also known as false interpreters' friends: words or phrases that may look or sound similar, but do not coincide in meaning in different languages. Join Eugene in an attempt to combine and streamline both the approaches in order to meet current translators' needs by highlighting most common translators' errors and ways of eliminating them.
